Meet Township Staff and Commissioners to learn more about the services provided by our
dedicated team and volunteers.

Lower Allen Township’s rich history dates back to the 17th century when it was home to the Susquehannock Indians. Scottish-Irish settlers began arriving around 1750, cultivating the land for generations. The township remained largely undeveloped until after World War II, preserving its rustic charm.

Explore historical documents and photographs on display in the social hall to gain deeper insight into our community’s heritage.

Engage with Police, Fire, EMS, and Public Works personnel, explore their vehicles, and attend informative safety presentations. The Environmental Programs Manager will also offer an educational session on sustainable practices.

Enjoy live music throughout the event performed by The Lower Allen Band—formerly known as The Villone’s and Friends from National Night Out.

Savor delicious food from Lisburn’s kitchen and treat yourself to fresh kettle corn from our onsite vendor.

A special ceremony at noon will honor our veterans and first responders for their service and dedication to the community.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Lower Allen Township is a first-class township under Pennsylvania law. A five-member Board of Commissioners, elected at large, governs policy and financial matters. Daily operations and policy implementation are managed by a full-time Township Manager. In January, Lower Allen proudly appointed its first female Board President, Jennifer Caron, and first female Township Manager, Rebecca Davis.

Administrative offices are located at the Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill. Departments include Management, Finance, Community Development, Human Resources, Police, Emergency Medical Services, and Lower Allen Fire Company No. 1. Additional fire stations are located on Rupp Avenue and in Lisburn.

On Sunday, October 26, at 1:00 PM, Commissioners from Lower Allen and Upper Allen Townships will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Lower Allen Community Park, 4075 Lisburn Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, commemorating the subdivision of Allen Township.
