Ambulance Subscription
The Lower Allen Township EMS subscription assists subscribers with medically necessary emergency ambulance transportation. Lower Allen Township EMS subscribers have 100% of their Co-pay or Co-insurance for the first ambulance transport covered during the subscription period. The subscription period is from January 1st to December 31st.
Lower Allen Township EMS subscribers are eligible for one (1) free CPR/AED training and one (1) Stop the Bleed training during the subscription period.
Lower Allen Township EMS offers two (2) types of EMS subscriptions:
Individual
One person living in single residence.
Household
Household subscriptions include the head of the household, spouse, and dependent persons living at the residence requiring emergency care.

- Answer: The Lower Allen Township EMS Subscription is NOT available for Medicaid recipients, individuals who do not have health insurance coverage, individuals whose health insurance does not cover ambulance transportation and individuals who do not have qualifying insurance at the time of transportation. The ineligible criteria are determined by federal and state regulations.
- What services does Lower Allen Township EMS provide?
- Answer: Lower Allen Township EMS provides Basic, Intermediate and Advanced life support services 24/7/365.
- Which type of membership should be purchased in situations where there are non-related individuals living in the same residence?
- Answer: Individual memberships for each non-related person living in the same residence.
- What is the coverage period of a Lower Allen Township EMS Subscription?
- Answer: Calendar year (January 1st to December 31st)
- What happens when another EMS service provides ambulance transportation for a Lower Allen Township EMS subscriber?
- Answer: Lower Allen Township EMS participates in the Cumberland Countywide subscription agreement which provides the same coverage to qualified subscribers.
- How does a Lower Allen Township EMS subscription assist in protecting me and/or my family financially?
- Answer: The Lower Allen Township EMS subscription completely covers the co-pay or co-insurance ensuring that the cost of your first critical lifesaving service is greatly reduced and, in some cases, eliminated, depending on insurance coverage.
- How do you arrange for CPR and/or Stop the bleed training?

- What is NOT included in your Lower Allen Township EMS subscription?
- Answer: Non-emergency transport, non-medically necessary transportation, wheelchair transportation, and additional mileage beyond the closest appropriate facility.
The Lower Allen Township EMS subscription program is NOT an insurance product or insurance policy and is not for sale. The Lower Allen Township EMS Subscription is NOT available for Medicaid recipients, those individuals who do not have health care coverage, and individuals whose health insurance does not cover ambulance transportation.
The Lower Allen Township EMS Subscription is not a contract for the provision of emergency or non-emergency services at any specific time, and all services are subject to availability. Services may be provided by a mutual aid service during the period in which Lower Allen Township EMS may be unavailable and Lower Allen Township EMS assumes no responsibility for the charges of such substitute providers. Terms of the Lower Allen Township EMS subscription program may be subject to changes without prior notice.
