SPRING IS HERE! Flowers are blooming...grass is growing...As you begin to clean up your yard from the long winter, below is a list of services the Township offers to help you in this process.

Beginning April 1 through November 30, Republic Services will be collecting yard waste that residents place curbside on the same day of their regular trash pick up.

Garden debris, leaves and sticks should be loose in the container. Do not put these items in bags.

No regular household garbage or trash should be mixed in with yard waste.

Place yard waste can several feet away from regular trash for easier identification.

Branches must be bundled with twine or string. Maximum length: 3 feet. Maximum branch diameter: 4 inches. Maximum bundle weight: 45 lbs.

Grass clippings, sod or dirt are NOT considered yard waste and should be put in with the regular trash. Consider mulching your grass clippings instead of bagging them.

Residents may drop off yard waste at the Public Works facility, located at 1400 Saint Johns Road, Camp Hill, between the hours of 7 am and 2:30 pm. Landscape contractors working at properties in the Township may haul yard waste generated there to the Public Works facility.  If yard waste is being brought from properties outside the Township, the contractor must first obtain a Contractors Yard Waste Disposal Permit at the Municipal Services Center.

As a convenience to the residents, the compost facility at the Public Works facility will be open the second Saturday of each month, between the hours of 8 am and 1 pm on May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 11, October 11, and November 8.

Leaf compost and wood chips will be available to Township residents for delivery or self-loaded pick up a the Public Works facility. All leaf compost and wood chip deliveries will be made on Thursdays and Fridays, starting April 3rd through early November.

Deliveries will be made only on a pre-pay basis. Payment must be made prior to setting up a delivery time. All payments are to be made at the Municipal Services Center. When your payment is processed, you will be contacted for a delivery time.
